FREE Youth Mediator Training, August 26, 27 & 28, 2013
Good Shepherd Mediation Program is seeking young people, ages 12 to 17, who are interested in becoming mediators so they can help friends and family members settle their disputes more effectively and peacefully.
This FREE, three-day training will take place at Good Shepherd Mediation Program on August 27, 28 & 29, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. The training will focus on communication and conflict resolution, problem solving, decision- making skills and agreement writing.
Participants MUST attend all 24 hours of the workshop to receive a certificate of completion.

Young people who complete this training workshop may be called upon by Good Shepherd Mediation Program to co-mediate parent-youth and neighborhood disputes at the Mediation Center and will receive a stipend for their work on these cases. Youth mediators must have transportation to/from these mediations, which are typically scheduled during the early evening and on weekends.
