Nonviolent Communication: Finding Solutions

CANCELLED - NEW DATE TBA

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) supports natural conflict resolution by refocusing attention on what we share in common, instead of on where we disagree. Instead of focusing on resolving a problem, we focus on what human needs are ‘on the table.’ Experience with NVC predicts this will lead to resolving conflicts so that everybody’s needs are met. NVC skills help us be more of the natural mediators that we all are. This Zoom class provides content and practice with the powerful 4-Step NVC methodology to refocus attention. Morning and afternoon sessions support deeper learning, yet each class can stand alone. Breakout room experiences are planned to support skills integration. Classes should have impact whether you identify as a new or seasoned NVC practitioner.

Trainer: River Dunavin, MPA, brings over 40 years of human potential training and practice to his work as a facilitator, mediator, and coach. He studied directly with the developer of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), Marshall Rosenberg. River is the only Certified NVC Trainer in Pennsylvania. Since 2006, River has facilitated NVC programs in New Mexico, Texas, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware.
