Restorative Justice in Legal Practice & Mediation

This virtual workshop will provide a brief overview of restorative justice: how it is defined, its historical and cultural roots, and how it is applied currently across the globe. Topics will include: principles of restorative; goals of restorative justice versus retributive justice; types of restorative processes; and the relationship of restorative justice to mediation. Participants will walk away with a working definition of restorative justice, and an understanding of what this looks like in practice, especially focused on how it intertwines with the legal system. 

NOTE: This virtual program is being offered in partnership with the Philadelphia Bar Association. CLE credit administered and provided by the Philadelphia Bar Association. Participants will receive a link immediately before the event. Deadline to register is 5 PM on Monday, April 26, 2021.
